We process the personal data that you provide in order to participate in the challenge (prename, name, address, email-address, competences). The processing will be performed in the context of the carrying out of the “give a breathe” challenge. The legal basis for processing is Art, 6 (1) (b) GDPR, fulfillment of (pre-)contractual duties or Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR, protection of our legitimate interests.
We process your personal data only for the named reasons in this privacy statement. A transmission of your data to third parties occurs only for the stated reasons. We transmit your personal data to third parties, only if:
  • you gave us your explicit consent
  • this transmission is required for the execution of a contract with you
  • this transmission is required to fulfill our legal obligations
  • this transmission is required for the protection of eligible interests and if there exists no plausible reason to believe that you have an emphasized interest in the nonproliferation of your personal data to third parties.
The personal data will be transmitted to our cooperation partner Frauenhofer -Gesellschaft zur Förderung der angewandten Forschung e.V. in München in order to evaluate the submitted proposals, based on legitimate interest of a third party, Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR.

When you access our website, general information is automatically recorded through a cookie. This information includes e.g. the type of web browser, the operating system, the domain name of your Internet service provider and suchlike. Thus, this only refers to information, which is not related to your person (non-personal data).
This information is technically necessary in order to correctly deliver the requested content of websites and automatically occur compulsory when using the internet. The information is, in particular, used for the following purposes:
  • securing a smooth link connection of the website
  • securing a frictionless usage of our website
  • analysis of the system security and stability
  • other administrative purposes

Processing your personal data is based in our entitled interest of the previous states purposes for a data collection. We are not using this data to draw conclusions towards your person. The data is only received by the responsible body and eventually order processors.
Anonymous data of this kind might be statistically analyzed by us, in order to optimize our web presence and the related technology.

Upon the registration for using our personalized services, several personal data like name and email address will be collected. If you are registered on one of our platforms, you can access content and services that we offer only to registered users. If needed, registered users furthermore have the opportunity to change and delete data that they have entered upon registration.
After the registration, you receive invites to participate on current projects, news to currently running projects, as well as news upon actions of other users. You can always adjust your notification settings through your profile.
Obviously, we will inform you about the obtained data regarding your person at any given point. If requested we will correct and/or delete your personal data, as long as all given law regulations will be further met.

To ensure the security of your data we are using encryption methods according the latest technical standards through HTTPS (e.g. SSL).

When users submit content like suggestions or comments on our website, also the date of submission will be saved next to the submitted content. Furthermore, a reference to the registered user will be created. This helps to ensure our security, as we can be sued for offensive and illegal content on our website, although it may come from other users.

Contacting us regarding any questions/inquiries via email or our contact form, automatically gives your voluntary consent. Getting in contact requires stating a valid email address. This will be used to link your inquiry and the following answer. Any informational details are voluntary. Your input will be saved for the purpose of processing your inquiry and possible follow-up questions. After completing your inquiry, all personal related data will be deleted automatically.

As a rule, we anonymise or delete your personal data as soon as it is no longer necessary for the aforementioned purpose, unless statutory documentation and retention rules requires us to keep it for longer.

In order to always completely follow current legal guidelines or to include changes of our suppliers (e.g. when using new services/tools), we reserve the right to adjust our privacy statement when needed. This new policy will then automatically apply for your recurring visit of our website.
